Fungicides
Fungicide resistance and chemical residues are ongoing issues for growers. OCP continues to develop new bio-rational products that can be used as resistance breakers and flexible enough to be used at any stage in the crop cycle due to their minimal withholding periods.
The recent introduction of Ecocarb PLUS to our range means that producers now have an effective tool in the fight against late season Powdery mildew and suppression of Downy mildew in grapes vines. Ecocarb PLUS is also an effective treatment against Black spot and Powdery mildew in Apples and Brown rot in Nectarines.
The addition of ACO & NOP approved ecocopper and ecosulfur; even though not ideal solutions in terms of IPDM, they fill the gap of cost effective season long Registered Organic diseases management. Using these two products strategically in combination with ecocarb PLUS and eco-protector will ensure beneficial insects are protected and soil health is protected.

ecocarb
Ecocarb was developed as part of a Grape Wine Research & Development project to investigate alternatives to copper and sulphur for the control of Downy and Powdery mildew in winegrapes. Since that time ecocarb has also been tested in a wide range of horticultural crops and ornamentals and is a proven alternative to sulphur for the control of Powdery mildew where IPM is a key driver of good agricultural practice.
Ecocarb is a very effective fungicide for the management of Powdery mildew flag shoots in grape vines and for late season Powdery mildew infections due to its ability to work in cooler temperatures compared with sulfur and has a 7 day withholding period.
eco-protector
eco-protector was developed in New Zealand from a need by producers there to access environmentally benign and residue free fungicides. eco-protector is effective against a range of diseases in horticultural crops but is most effective against Botrytis cinerea in grapes.
ecocarb PLUS
Ecocarb PLUS combines the curative action of food grade Potassium Bicarbonate with the Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR) effect of Potassium silicate. When applied on a regular basis, Ecocarb PLUS will control Powdery Mildew in Grapes, Vegetables, Strawberries, Roses and Apples and Rust in ornamentals (Geraniums).
