Yates Wiltnot Anti Transpirant

Yates Wiltnot Anti Transpirant

Yates WiltNot reduces damage caused by climatic extremes. Ideal for most trees, vines, turf, flower and vegetable crops.

Features

  • Reduces plant transpiration by up to 50%
  • Guards against excessive heat, UV and frost-stress
  • Strengthens against transplant shock
  • Protects from seaspray and windburn damage
  • Won’t impede photosynthesis or normal growth

How It Works

Yates WiltNot is a water emulsifiable polymer concentrate which forms a semi permeable, biodegradable film that can be applied to most trees, vines, turf, flower and vegetable crops to assist in the reduction of transpiration caused by climatic extremes, transplanting and post harvest stress.

Directions for use

Application rates to reduce transplanting and post harvest stress

  • Transplanting seedlings, cuttings, trees and shrubs. – 50mL per 1L of water
  • Transplanting cut turf – 10L per 100L of water per 500m2
  • Post harvest cut flowers 20mL per 1L of water

Application rates to reduce transplanting and post harvest stress

  • Trees and Shrubs (in ground or containerised) – 50mL per 1L of water
  • Apples – 2.5L per 100L of water
  • Citrus – 1L per 100L of water
  • Other fruit trees – 2L per 100L of water
  • Vegetables – 2.5L per 100L of water
  • Nut Trees – 2.5L per 100L of water
  • Vines – Initial application: 5L per 100L of water. Follow up applications: 2.5L per 100L of water

Precautions

Withholding Period: When applying to edible food crops the last spray should be applied 45 to 60 days before harvest.

Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash hands after use.

Pack sizes: 5L, 20L, 200L, 1000L

Yates RainSaver Water Storing Crystals

Yates RainSaver Water Storing Crystals

Yates RainSaver Water Storing Crystals improve the capability of soils and growing media to retain water and plant nutrients. Placed in the root zone of plants they capture and store several hundred times their own weight in water and soluble compounds such as fertiliser. Yates RainSaver is used in turf, landscaping, revegetation, nurseries, forestry, viticulture, olives, roses and potatoes

Features

  • Yates RainSaver was designed specifically to improve the capability of soils and growing media to retain water and plant nutrients
  • On the introduction of water, crystals swell dramatically to become super absorbent sponges
  • 95% of absorbed water and nutrient is available back to the plant on demand through their roots, which grow directly into the water-swollen crystals
  • The water and nutrient retained in the crystal is for plant use only
  • Yates RainSaver is effective for approximately 5 years
  • Yates RainSaver has an essentially neutral pH
  • Yates RainSaver has a gel strength three times higher than all other water crystals available today
  • Yates RainSaver has the highest and fastest absorbency under pressure (soil pressure) meaning it absorbs the most water in actual use conditions
  • Yates RainSaver has the highest stability with fertilisers, nutrients and salts and does not contaminate plants, soils or ground water
  • Yates RainSaver is suitable for use in turf, landscaping, revegetation, nurseries, forestry, viticulture, olives, cut flowers and vegetables

How It Works

A mix of high tensions, cross linked potassium ammonium based copolymers (water crystals) which are small (800-2000 micron) free flowing white granules that resemble sugar crystals when dry. On the introduction of water they swell dramatically to become super absorbent sponges. Placed in the root zone of plants they capture and store several hundred times their own weight in water and soluble compounds such as fertiliser. 95% of absorbed water and nutrient is available back to the plant on demand through their roots, which grow directly into the water-swollen crystals.

Direction for use

Potting Mix 650 – 750 grams per cubic metre;

Hanging Baskets Pots and Containers 5 grams per 5 litres of potting mix

Garden Beds 25 grams per sq metre mixed thoroughly into soil bed

Forestry Blend 3 grams of hydrated Yates RainSaver Seedling grade into the root zone with the seedling

Trees / Shrubs 5 grams per 10 litres of backfill, mix throughout backfill and ensure some Yates RainSaver is under the rootball as well

Turf & Seedling Lawns 10 – 20 grams per sq metre. Spread evenly over prepared ground before laying turf and for seedling lawns mix to a depth of 50 – 75mm in prepared ground

Bulk Soil Mixes 250 – 500grams per cubic metre For further recommendations, see product label.

Please Note: The only correct place for Yates RainSaver is in the root zone of plants.

Precautions

The only correct place for Yates RainSaver is in the root zone of plants. Do not apply to soil, lawn or container surface.

Yates MoisturAid Granular Wetting Agent

Yates MoisturAid Granular Wetting Agent

Yates MoisturAid is a granular wetting agent for turf, nurseries, potting mix, landscaping, forestry, councils, estate gardens, flowers and any situation where water repellent soils are not allowing water and nutrient to get into the root zone. This slow release granular formulation dramatically improves the wettability & water holding capacity of soils and potting mixes.

Features

  • Yates MoisturAid is a granular wetting agent suitable for a broad range of horticultural applications
  • Yates MoisturAid dramatically improves the wettability & water holding capacity of soils and potting mixes
  • Yates MoisturAid overcomes hydrophobic (water repellent) and water logging problems, eliminates dry spots, improves drainage, optimises water and fertiliser availability, reduces stress and increases plant survival rates
  • Yates MoisturAid is a slow release granular formulation with the active ingredient made available over an extended period of time, usually up to six months. This is not the case with liquid wetting agents which require frequent repeat application
  • Also unlike liquid wetting agents, there is no need for irrigation immediately after an application
  • Yates MoisturAid is easily spread over the surface or incorporated into the soil or potting mix
  • Yates MoisturAid saves time, water and plants

How It Works

Yates MoisturAid undergoes a unique manufacturing process which impregnates a liquid wetting agent into the chosen carrier material (a fossilised sponge). This process makes the active ingredient available over a much longer period of time, usually up to six months. The wetting agent is released in the presence of irrigation or rainfall. Yates MoisturAid works by decreasing the natural surface tension of applied water to ensure irrigation water or rainfall filters through to the root zone.

Directions for use

Potting mix or soil incorporation – 1 kg per cubic metre at time of blending

Topdressing

200mm pots 5 grams (1 heaped teaspoon);
250mm pots 10 grams (2 heaped teaspoons);
300mm pots 13 grams (1 heaped dessert spoon);
400mm pots 25 grams (2 heaped dessert spoons);
500mm pots 35 grams (3 heaped dessert spoons)

Planter Bags – 1 gram per litre of potting mix (eg. 45 litre bag = 45 grams)

Landscaping – 30 grams per square metre for heavy soils; 60 grams per square metre for sandy soil

Precautions

Use gloves when handling.
