OCP Joins Big Bag Recovery!
We are thrilled to announce that Organic Crop Protectants is now a proud participant in the Big Bag Recovery scheme, Australia’s leading initiative for the responsible recycling of large agricultural and horticultural bags.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
At Organic Crop Protectants, we’ve always been at the forefront of eco-friendly practices. By joining the Big Bag Recovery scheme, we’re taking another significant step towards our commitment to a sustainable future. This program aligns perfectly with our ethos of caring for the planet and supporting a regenerative future.
What is the Big Bag Recovery Scheme?
The Big Bag Recovery scheme is an Australian Government Accredited Product Stewardship program for the recycling of plastic bags over 15kg or 15L of contents, such as those used for fertiliser, seeds, and animal feeds. It focuses on recyclable bags made from woven polypropylene (wPP) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE), ensuring they have an appropriate end-of-life solution and do not contribute to environmental harm.
How Can You Participate?
As our valued partner, you play a crucial role in this initiative. Here’s how you can contribute:
Return Your Used Bags:
Drop off your used big bags at any of the designated collection points across Australia.
Spread the Word:
Encourage fellow growers and industry partners to join the movement.
Stay Informed: Keep up with the latest updates on recycling practices and sustainability efforts.
Together, We Can Make a Difference
Every bag returned is a step towards reducing landfill waste and promoting a circular economy. With your support, we can create a positive impact on our environment and lead the change for a greener horticultural industry.
