Metcalf Td81b is applied to the crop canopy where it will colonise in the warm moist parts of flowers, foliage and fruit to create a healthy growing environment for grapes, stone fruit and other plants. It contains Trichoderma which are beneficial saprophytic fungi that feed on sugars excreted by the plant as well as dead plant material including remnant flower parts and foliage. Established colonies can help create a growing environment less favourable to pathogens.
