Metcalf Macanizer
Metcalf Macanizer contains specially selected beneficial fungi (Trichoderma koningii) that helps restore the natural population of Trichoderma in the canopy of macadamia trees, especially after the use of broad spectrum fungicides. Metcalf Macanizer isolate was sourced from racemes of macadamia flowers in Northern NSW so it is highly suited to Australian macadamia production.
- Australian sourced strain of beneficial fungi (Trichoderma koningii)
- Readily colonises the canopy of macadamias for improved plant health
- Helps restore biological balance after the use of broad spectrum fungicides
- Australian production ensures freshness and spore viability
Contains 100 billion spores/g Trichoderma koningii
Metcalf Macanizer is applied to the canopy where it will colonise flowers and foliage to create a healthy fruit set environment for macadamias. It contains trichoderma which are beneficial saprophytic fungi that feed on sugars excreted by the plant as well as dead plant material.
Apply at 100g / ha in a minimum of 2,000L/ ha of spray volume
Metcalf Macanizer contains a living fungus that is sensitive to a number of fungicides including benomyl, imazalil, propiconazole, tebuconazole and triflumizole. Read the front panel of fungicide labels to determine if the active ingredients are compatible. A full list of compatible fungicides is available from OCP if required.
When an incompatible fungicide has to be used, Metcalf Macanizer can be re-applied 10-14 days later.
Unused Metcalf Macanizer should be sealed and kept refrigerated.
